Sponsorship Opportunities through Educational Grants

The 32nd Annual CSA Conference and 4th Annual Dietitian Day are designed to assist individuals, their families, and health
care professionals who are interested in current information relating to celiac disease/dermatitis herpetiformis. This
national educational conference draws a representative sample of the celiac community including:

  • all ages—from young children to senior citizens
  • all geographic areas—the conference draws from over 125 local CSA Chapters and Resource Units in the U.S.
  • all levels of “celiac experience”—from the newly diagnosed to the “old pros”
  • all walks of life—including medical professionals

The 32nd Annual CSA Conference offers a unique opportunity for “celiac friendly” companies to showcase products and
services to this capsule of the celiac community. Opportunities include underwriting of costs of conference activities,
provision of scholarships for youth and adult attendees, participation in the Exhibit Hall, and product donations towards
conference menus. Sponsors are recognized in the CSA Conference Syllabus, on the CSA Conference website page, and in
news releases and promotional pieces. All types of Conference support activities help make the Annual CSA Conference
more affordable for celiac families.

CSA is designated as a 501(c)(3) public charity and educational grants to the Annual CSA Conference are tax-deductible
within the limits of the law.

Areas of support are outlined below. Suggested dollar amounts reflect the costs to CSA of the particular item. 32nd Annual
CSA Conference Sponsorship activities are not limited to this listing. CSA welcomes your company ideas for innovative
ways to best meet our mutual goal of “Celiacs Helping Celiacs”.

Pre-Conference Activity Sponsorships
Oktoberfest and Food Fair
Thursday, October 29, 2009

This Thursday pre-conference activity includes a full gluten-free buffet featuring German cuisine. The Food Fair includes a
variety of gluten-free foods and products in the Exhibit Hall. Cooking demonstrations and product presentations will take
place in the Exhibit Hall throughout the afternoon and evening. Oktoberfest is open to Conference and Dietitian Day
attendees and the general public. Approximately 250 attendees are expected for this event.

Full co-sponsorship with CSA and Bayfront Convention Center=$5,000

Food/Product Demonstration Sponsorship=$2,000
Includes costs for set up of demonstration area with all necessary cooking equipment, video with screen
projection, engineering and technical support. Sponsors are recognized in the Conference Syllabus and by signage at the
demonstration site.

Donations of gluten-free foods—In kind
Donations to the Oktoberfest buffet menu are much appreciated. Food donations showcase products from both
exhibitors and companies who are unable to attend, but wish to have their products highly visible at the Conference. Food
donations are recognized in the official CSA Conference Syllabus and on printed menus.

Dietitian Day Sponsorships
Thursday, October 29. 2009

Dietitian Day precedes the Annual CSA Conference and is designed for health professionals including dietitians,
physicians, nurses and social workers. The program includes content aimed at advancing nutrition practice in celiac
disease. Approximately 100 attendees are expected for this event.

Speaker sponsorships--$1,500 for each speaker; Total for all five speakers=$7,500
Sponsors are recognized in the CSA Conference Syllabus, Dietitian Day Syllabus and are thanked during speaker
introductions.

Luncheon sponsorship-- 100 meals @ $25.00=$2,500
Sponsors are recognized in the CSA Conference Syllabus and Dietitian Day Syllabus and formally recognized
during the luncheon.

Educational Print Materials (Dietitian Day Syllabus)—100@ $10.00 ea = $1,000
The Dietitian Day Syllabus includes speaker slides, references and resources. Underwriters are recognized with
company logos included on the Dietitian Day Syllabus.

Dietitian Day Recordings—100 @ $20.00 ea=$2,000
Underwrites the expense for recording, editing, replicating and mailing a 5 cd set of all Dietitian Day speaker
presentations to each conference attendee. Sponsors are recognized in Dietitian Day print materials and company logos are
displayed on cd labels.

CME/CEU applications=$1,000
Includes estimated application costs for continuing education credits for nurses, dietitians, social workers.
Sponsors will be recognized with thanks on CSA Conference Syllabus and Dietitian Day Syllabus pages detailing
continuing education credits.

Registration Scholarships=$165 each
Registration scholarship recipients will be informed of scholarship donors if desired. Opportunities to provide
student registration scholarships for dietitians in training are also available.

Children/Youth/Young Adult Program

KidZone/Teen Scene Programming =$2,000 each program
Sponsorship supports facilitators and speakers as well as educational materials, scientific experiments, and
recreational activities. KidZone includes children aged 7-11 and Teen Scene includes ages 12-16. Sponsors are recognized
in Conference Print Materials

Young Adult Programming =$1,000
Sponsorship supports facilitator and special presentations from Conference speakers to this group of older
teenagers and young adults as they hone coping skills for self management of their celiac disease in a variety of settings.

Registration Scholarships

  • KidZone (ages 7-11) and Teen Scene (ages 12-16) = $125 each
  • Young Adults (ages 17+) =$250 each

Scholarship recipients are informed of sponsorship donor, if desired.

32nd Annual CSA Conference Sponsorships
Friday, October 30 – Sunday, November 1, 2009

The 32nd Annual CSA Conference includes renowned keynote speakers and a variety of breakout sessions. Gluten-free
breakfasts, lunches and dinners are included as a part of the entire conference experience. The conference includes
programming for adults, children, teens and young adults. Approximately 400 attendees are expected for this event.

General program support—discretion of the donor
Non-specified educational grants defray a variety of programming costs for the conference. Sponsors are
recognized in Conference Print materials, on the CSA Conference website page and in news releases and promotional
materials. Educational Grants can also be specified for the following programming:

Speaker sponsorships--$1,500 per speaker
Sponsors are recognized in CSA Conference Syllabus and thanked during speaker introductions.

Adult Registration scholarships
Adult registration--$350 each
Scholarship recipients are informed of sponsorship, if desired

Exhibit Hall booth--$450 before August 15th, $600 after August 15th
Exhibit Hall will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday with ample time for Conference and Dietitian Day
attendees to visit. The Exhibit Hall will be open to the general public on Thursday during the Oktoberfest Buffet and Food
Fair. Exhibitors may participate in food/product demonstrations and presentations during this time.

Food donations—in kind
Food donations to the gluten-free menus of the conference are always much appreciated. Food donations showcase
products from both exhibitors and companies who are unable to attend, but wish to have their products highly visible at the
Conference. .Breakfast items, breads, rolls, crackers and dessert items are especially needed. Food donations are
recognized on menus printed in the CSA Conference Syllabus.

Conference Print Materials-- Syllabus 500 @ $10.00 = $5,000
Underwriter logo will appear on syllabus. Conference Syllabus includes full conference schedule, menus, speaker
slides, references and resources.

Registration bags-- 500 @ $5.00=$2,500
Underwriter logo will appear with CSA logo on Registration bags

Audio/visual support=$5,000
Includes engineering/technical support personnel, room setups with microphone, projection units and screens for
speaker presentations. Supporters will be recognized in CSA Conference Syllabus.

Conference Recordings—500 @ $40.00 ea=$20,000
Underwrites the expense for recording, editing, replicating and mailing a 10 cd set of selected conference speaker
presentations to each conference attendee. Sponsor logos will appear on the cd labels.
